Work. Comp. Teleseminar

The monthly Midwestern Construction Law teleseminar\webinar revealed some very interesting revelations for us concerning how to control workers compensation costs....

The three ways to control work. comp. costs - (a) preventing the problems through the use of compliance and training programs, better relationships between employers and employees, aggressive hiring practices and creating a corporate culture that promotes an environment that encourages people to return to work as soon as possible; (b) financing the work.comp. situation through managed premium audit and managing the company's mod. rate; and (c) aggressively managing claims through back-on-the-job programs and a claims coordinator.

Most claims are not fraudulent, but a significant number are exaggerated .... perhaps as many as 40% of all filed claims (man, I had no idea!)

You know...seems like there are a lot of resources available through your broker or carrier and perhaps....we all need to take advantage of these services! Or fire your broker?

Thanks to Bob Johnson and Terry Milford of Charlton Manley Insurance Agency and Melanie Tucker of CBIZ for their informative presentation! Please check out our website and download the presentation material.....and alert your broker you are ready for them at renewal time!!!!!!
