"Good To Great"
Along with a group of contractors I had the pleasure of listening to the author of the book "Good To Great", Jim Collins. Based upon this man's inspiration I ran out and bought the book....folks, this guy is brilliant and in motivational. His message today...."Discipline people...discipline thought....disciplined action"
At the end of the day he made me believe anything was possible!!!!!

Director's Liability
The recently announced court decision concerning the HUGE payout to director Michael Ovitz by the Walt Disney Company must confirm.....that it is hard to find directors liable for their business decisions. Executive compensation will clearly get more scrutiny, or so the pundits say, but the payments just keep getting made....
So it is comforting for boards of directors, that if what you are doing is in the best interest of the company, protection for you will exist........but companies should learn not to stack boards of directors.....and employ "a best practices" policy in operating boards.
